Not pretty enough.
Okay, clarification first. This is a picture of my best friend, Kristy. She’s absolutely beautiful, inside and out. She’s kind, and she’s pretty, and to top it all off, she’s smart. She, like everyone else, also has her negative points. She can be annoying, and stubborn, but she’s my best friend.
This photo is named ‘Not pretty enough’ because of the way she’s standing and the way this photo looks overall. It’s like she’s trying to peer in the mirror, but she’s scared of her reflection, and the fear that many of us - especially girls - have: the fear of not being good/ pretty enough. Atelophobia, the phobia of being imperfect, or incomplete. But you know what? You’re pretty. You’re more than just pretty. You’re beautiful. For some aspect or another, you are. And someone, I assure you, sees that in you and loves you for it. You don’t have to be scared to look in the mirror. You don’t have to be ashamed. Because you were made this way, and someone, I promise, loves you for the way you are - nothing more, nothing less.
